Our investment approach:
navigating changing markets
while keeping your pension strong
We manage your Plan with a long-term perspective, focused on delivering stable, sustainable results through changing market conditions. Over the past decade, strong performance has supported continued growth of the Fund and an improved funded position, reinforcing the Plan’s resilience and its ability to meet pension commitments.
Strengthening position
The Plan’s funded ratio continued to improve in 2025, reaching a record level of 120.6%. Funded status shows how well the Plan can cover its pension obligations. As this position strengthens, it reinforces the Plan’s ability to pay pensions over the long term, giving you greater confidence in the security of your benefits, now and in the future.

10 years
of growth
Over the past ten years, consistent investment performance has supported strong growth in total net assets. This progress strengthens the Plan’s financial position and helps ensure it can meet pension commitments now, and into the future.
A balanced investment strategy
We invest across a range of asset classes, regions, and strategies to support a well-balanced portfolio. This diversified approach helps reduce reliance on any single market and supports more consistent results over time.
Responding to a changing global environment
In 2025, global markets continued to be shaped by inflation, interest rate changes, and economic uncertainty. Our investment program is designed to adapt within these conditions, with different parts of the portfolio contributing in different ways to support stability.
“Having a defined benefit pension plan is important to me because it gives me confidence and reassurance about my retirement future.”

Working toward easier access to your pension information
In 2025, we continued to lay the groundwork for a new pension administration system to support more modern and flexible services for members. This includes exploring future digital options, such as secure access to pension information and self-service tools, an area we know is of interest to many members based on your feedback. These enhancements will be introduced over time as part of a phased approach to system modernization.
